I make abstract paintings that are part searching, part stumbling, structured enough to hold together, loose enough to breathe. The process is slow, layered, often a mess. I build, erase, rework, and let things stay unresolved longer than feels comfortable. It’s not about arriving at a final image, it’s about making visual decisions in real time, thinking through paint.

Every mark a choice.

Every choice a risk.

A moment to reflect in the studio, is there another move or is that it?

No meaning given, it’s made on the edge of not knowing.

The canvas isn’t a picture, it’s an event.

Now here’s a reflection I believe worthy of consideration, is reaching the point at which the next move becomes hard to see in one’s mind’s eye an obstacle or completion…?
